Looking at the Pixel 7 series, the biggest change we see is that the camera bar is now aluminum, with glass over the camera lenses. Which doesn’t look as great as the Pixel 6, as the cameras were more hidden in the camera bar for the Pixel 6. It’ll sport a new second-generation Tensor chipset, though very few details were shared on that front. It also looks like the Pixel 7 will have different colored camera bars. With at least a silver, black, and gold available. Which could make for some rather funky color combinations across both models.

Previewing the upcoming Pixel is becoming the new standard for Google

This is now the third year in a row that Google has previewed the upcoming Pixel, months ahead of its arrival. For the Pixel 5, Google just tweeted out an image that yeah, the leaks are accurate. Then last year for the Pixel 6, it previewed the phones a bit more. Giving us some details on the screens and cameras. But more specifically, they were previewing Tensor. As it was their first chipset made for Pixel. Now with Pixel 7, we’re getting an even earlier preview, and a decent look at the new design for the Pixel 7. Which will ship in Obsidian, Snow and Lemongrass colors. While the Pixel 7 Pro will also ship in Obsidian and Snow, as well as a green Hazel color. Of course, the Pixel 7 series will launch with Android 13 later this year, and likely have five years of updates. Just like the Pixel 6a that Google debuted today at I/O.
