Samsung to host the next Galaxy Unpacked on August 10

Evan Blass has tweeted an image containing an intentionally blurred-out render of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, along with the “August 10, 2022” date and Samsung and Galaxy Unpacked branding. The render in question here is the same one we reported about earlier today. It shows the lateral profile of the upcoming clamshell foldable, revealing the few design changes that Samsung is making this year. Rumors are that Samsung will host the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked in person. Its big launch events in the past two years have been online-only affairs due to the pandemic. With things getting better, the company is now ready to welcome media personnel and its fans at a physical location in New York. The latest leak suggests that the Korean behemoth has prepared media invitations for the big launch event next month. It should officially reveal the date and start sending out invitations. We will let you know once we have an official word from Samsung.

Foldables will be the star of the show

According to Blass, Samsung is calling this event “Unfold Your World”. This is a testament to the company’s focus on foldable smartphones. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked should see the launch of its fourth-gen foldables — Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. The Korean firm has already picked up necessary certifications for the devices in several markets. Leaks and certification listings have revealed a lot about the upcoming foldable duo. We are in for another round of major upgrades from Samsung. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is seeing some design changes that make the out screen more usable. Both foldables will also see some durability improvements for the flexible display as well as the body. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is also expected to pack bigger batteries and faster charging. The new foldables aren’t the only products coming out of Samsung’s doors at Galaxy Unpacked next month, though. The Galaxy Watch 5 series smartwatches and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro TWS earbuds should also break cover at the same event. Stay tuned for the official announcement from the company.
