In the US, the Android 12 update for the Galaxy A32 5G is currently rolling out to the carrier-locked variant. As of this writing, the new software package is available over the air (OTA) to users on Sprint and T-Mobile’s networks, SamMobile has confirmed. Users on other carriers, as well as unlocked units, can also expect to receive the update in the coming days. The new firmware version for the phone is A326USQU7BVD1.

Android 12 update is rolling out to the Galaxy A32 5G in the US

Released with the Galaxy S22 series in February, One UI 4.1 is the latest iteration of Samsung’s custom Android software. The new version has rolled out to several other Galaxy smartphones and tablets over the past couple of months. The Galaxy A32 5G also started getting it last month along with Android 12. The update has now reached the US as well. One UI 4.1 brings tons of new features and enhancements to the Galaxy A32 5G. We have the Color Palette feature that enables the device to intelligently adapt wallpaper colors to the system-wide theme. Google’s privacy dashboard and new privacy indicators, Grammarly-integrated Samsung Keyboard, new widgets, improved system apps, enhanced Dark Mode, better always-on display (AoD), RAM Plus, and improved Bixby Routines are other highlights of One Ui 4.1. The Galaxy A32 5G is also picking up the April 2022 Android security patch with the big Android update. It contains fixes for over 80 vulnerabilities found in Google’s version of Android as well as Samsung’s custom software, i.e. One UI. The Korean firm has already begun rolling out the May SMR (Security maintenance Release) to its devices but the Galaxy A32 5G likely won’t get it. It receives security updates quarterly. Nonetheless, if you’re using this Samsung mid-ranger in the US, Android 12 is here for you. Watch out for a notification about the OTA rollout in the coming days if you haven’t already received the update. You can also manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update on your phone and tapping on Download and install. Since it’s a major Android update and likely weighs over 1GB, we advise you to connect your Galaxy A32 5G to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid incurring unwanted data charges.
