Deezer’s smartwatch app allows users to leave their smartphones behind without losing access to their favorite music. It supports music downloading for offline listening. You can download your favorite tracks and playlists and store them locally on your wearable. These music files are accessible directly on your wrist even if your phone is not around or disconnected. You can connect a pair of TWS earbuds and listen to music on the go. This reduces distractions when working or during workout sessions. If you have a Deezer Premium or Family subscription, the smartwatch app offers added functionality. You get access to features like Flow, which are personalized recommendations with a mix of favorites and new tracks. Deezer Premium is a $9.99-a-month service, while the Family plan costs $14.99 per month. The latter gives ad-free access to Deezer’s library of High Fidelity music (lossless quality at 1,411 kbps) to up to six family members. “The release of the Deezer application for Wear OS by Google has been very anticipated by our users and we’re happy to launch it this year,” said Nicolas Pinoteau, VP of Product & Engineering at Deezer. Pinoteau added that the new app leverages “the new capabilities offered by Wear OS 3” for an optimized Deezer experience on smartwatches. It gives “our users the ability to listen to their music anywhere, at any time.”
Deezer is now available on the latest Wear OS smartwatches
Deezer is one of the most popular names in the music streaming industry. Google has been teasing its arrival on Wear OS for several months now. Back in May, the company announced that the music streaming app will be available on its smartwatch platform before the end of this year. It followed up with another announcement in August at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event announcing the Galaxy Watch 5 series. After months of teasing, Deezer is now officially available on the latest Wear OS smartwatches. If you have a compatible smartwatch (running Wear OS 3 or higher) and live in a region where the company offers its music streaming service, you should be able to download the app from the Google Play Store. You can pair the smartwatch app with phones running Android 6 or higher.
