The EP-P2400 was registered with the Wireless Power Consortium on February 16, 2022. Aptly called the Wireless Charger, the listing says the accessory is a “Power Class 0 Transmitter” product with an output power level of 8W. However, the FCC documentation suggested it could charge compatible devices at up to 15W. So we might be missing out on something here. Nonetheless, the listing on the Wireless Power Consortium website also features a render of the EP-P2400 Samsung wireless charger. It’s the same unit we saw in the FCC database back in December. The accessory sports a square-ish compact design with rounded corners. It can only charge one device at a time and holds the device flat on its surface. The FCC listing had also revealed a few more details about the Samsung EP-P2400. It could wireless charge compatible earbuds and smartwatches at up to 2W. The unit has a maximum power input of 25W (9V/2.77A) via a USB Type-C port. It will not boast that much output power though. The same goes for the Wireless Charger Duo as well, which is kind of an elongated version of the former. It will charge two devices simultaneously. In both of these listings, this upcoming wireless charger from Samsung is seen in black color. But prior reports suggest it will be available in white as well. The Wireless Charger Duo will also come in black and white colors.
When will these Samsung wireless chargers launch?
As said before, the Samsung Wireless Charger Duo (EP-P5400) appeared in the FCC database around the same time as the EP-P2400. However, the former has yet to be registered with the Wireless Power Consortium. So it could arrive a little later. That said, Samsung’s confidentiality agreement with the FCC doesn’t expire until mid-June for both chargers. So there’s a possibility that both of them will go on sale around the same time. Hopefully, that’s not too far off now.
